The Czech Foreign Ministry welcomes the ceasefire agreement between Israel and the Lebanese Hezbollah movement. This is reported today, November 27, by the press service of the Czech department.
“We believe that the agreement reached with the participation of the United States and France will allow residents of northern Israel and southern Lebanon to return to their homes and will form the basis for a long-term peace agreement in the region.” – says a press release from the Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Let us remember that on the afternoon of November 26, the Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahuand later president of the United States joe biden announced that a ceasefire agreement had been reached between Israel and Lebanon. The agreement calls for the withdrawal of Israeli troops from southern Lebanon within 60 days, and Lebanon will deploy its security and military forces along all borders, checkpoints and boundary lines. At the same time, Hezbollah will withdraw its forces and heavy weapons approximately 20 miles from the Israeli border, to the Litani River.
