The second DANA in two weeks in the province of Valencia caused the partial collapse from the wall of Castle of Cullerawhere the nocturnal electrical storm left overwhelming images with lightning which divided the sky in two into large vertical columns above the waters of the Mediterranean Sea.
The Valencian Meteorological Agency (Avamet) broadcast on X some striking photos of these phenomena captured by the webcam of one of its partners (Antonio García) during the night.
In addition to this visual spectacle, for the inhabitants of this municipality, the new storm brought the bad news of the collapse of the first “albacar” of the fortress, as reported by the Town Hall on this same social network. The force of the water knocked down “a small part”, causing landslides of rocks.
THE Local police They cordoned off the area due to possible risks of additional collapses and asked citizens not to approach the area.
This Friday, the municipality hopes to obtain more heritage information on this event in collaboration with the municipal archaeologist.

Given the end of unfavorable weather conditions, the Town Hall will resume course in all educational centers and will reopen all municipal facilities, with the exception of the covered pavilion.
For their part, the parks and the gardens will be reopened after checking that there is no risk of falling branches. Concerning mobility, all accesses are open, except the CV-603 between Cullera and Tavernes.
