A total of 10 buildings were seriously affected by the passage of DANA in Letur (Albacete). This was determined by the Architecture Department of the Provincial Council of Albacete, which was able to access the old town after the completion of the access ramp this Friday.
A first ocular study concludes that the most affected buildings are located on Moreras, Aurora, Barranco and Garrobo streets.
“There are about 10 buildings already identified as seriously affected. This morning, weather permitting, one of the houses will be demolished because it has already been identified that it is in poor condition,” said President Santiago Cabañero.
Likewise, he took the opportunity to once again thank the volunteers who continue to show their support for Letur in many ways. “This area will today be a hot zone, a risk zone. It must be demolished and only professionals will be inside to free up space so that the machines can operate,” he said.
“There are two streets that have not yet been able to be inspected, so the number of 10 houses affected will increase,” he assured.
Furthermore, he indicated that this Saturday, in the river delta, in the part where the stream meets the Segura, two heavy machines are working. Also, Precautions should be taken to avoid further damage during emergency work.
