The Ministry of Emergency Situations’ hotline “112” received information about the discovery of ammunition in the Kurdakhani settlement, Sabunchu district, Baku city.
Oku.Az reports that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has published information on this matter.
It was reported that, in response to the information, the Special Risk Rescue Service (XRXX) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs immediately intervened in the demining process.
After appropriate security measures were taken in the area together with law enforcement officers, it was determined that the ammunition found during the inspection of the site was a 40-mm “PQ-7L” unguided cumulative anti-tank rocket projectile suitable for combat use.
The ammunition was removed from the area for disposal by XRXX Flexible Group experts.
During further search of the scene and surrounding area no other dangerous or suspicious items were found.
