Dani Garcia Alarcon took office as the new mayor of Riópar, in Albacete, succeeding Federico Morenowho leaves him for personal reasons. Of course, Moreno will remain deputy mayor and will also lead the Sierra del Segura Local Action Group.
According to the PSOE in a press release, García Alarcón has been linked from an early age to the associative movement in favor of his municipality, located in the Sierra de Alcaraz. He was a municipal councilor for the first time at the age of 20 and currently he is responsible for the areas of Education, Culture and Sports.
“It is an honor and a great responsibility to assume this position,” declares the new mayor, who will work “hand in hand with his team and with enthusiasm and humility, always counting on the participation of my neighbors and seeking always the best for my city.” . Among the projects already underway are the future innwhich will be built in the Royal Bronze Factories, or a new daycare.
“The objective is to continue working, from the same team, now restructured, with the firm commitment to advance the development of Riópar, its services, its infrastructure; with our neighbors at the center of every action and every decision, to improve their daily lives and, above all, their quality of life”, adds Moreno, who says of his successor that he is “a hardworking man with a thousand commitments to Riopar .
For her part, the organizing secretary of the PSOE in the province of Albacete, Fran Valera, present in Riópar, conveyed “all the support and congratulations” of the socialists to García Alarcón. De Moreno, who also served as mayor between 2015 and 2019, said that “he has always dedicated himself to his people and I am convinced that now, with another responsibility, he will continue to do so.”
