The Cazuelica and Navarre Designation of Origin (DO) Wine Week, one of the most anticipated gastronomic events, It will be held from October 4 to 13, 2024.

In this twenty-third edition, 28 establishments in Pamplona, ​​Ayegui, Burlada, Larraga and Mutilva They will present their best creations, offering a sample of traditional Navarra cuisine accompanied by DO Navarra wines.

Organized by the Navarrese Association of Hotels and Tourismwith the sponsorship of the Regulatory Council of the DO Navarra and the collaboration of the Hospital Cooperative, Caixabank, Aceites Sandúa, Pirineos Exdim and CPAEN, the Cazuelica Week seeks to promote and recover traditional recipes and techniques from Navarre. The event also benefits from the support of the Government of Navarra and the City Hall of Pamplona.

The notion of “pan“, small creations presented in casserole dishes of your choice for each establishment By its size, material and color, it has become a symbol of local cuisine. Each cazuelica is accompanied by a recommended wine from the Navarre Designation of Origin, making the combination of flavors a unique experience for participants. This year ICazuelica week will coincide with the NavaRider Day motorcycle event, celebrated on October 5. This event will attract many motorcycle enthusiasts to the region and will provide an ideal opportunity to enjoy the rich Navarrese cuisine in a festive atmosphere.

THE three main awards Gold, Silver and Bronze will be awarded to best casseroles presentedand the winners will receive diplomas and gifts from the various collaborators of the event. These awards aim to reward not only creativity, but also technique and culinary know-how. There will also be various special mentions recognizing specific aspects of the cuisine and the products used:

The basic jury, composed of six culinary professionalswill be responsible for tasting and evaluating the casseroles presented during the week. These experts, coordinated by the Hospitality Association, will evaluate aspects such as product, aesthetics, technique, temperature, flavor and viability of the creations. The objective is to encourage continuous improvement in the quality of gastronomic preparations.

Monday October 14, the finalist establishments will be announced. The grand finale is scheduled for Wednesday, October 16 in the Hospitality Cooperative Classroom, where the finalists will present their casseroles before a professional jury. This jury will be made up of gastronomy experts, different from those who were part of the basic jury, and they will be the ones who will determine the best creations of this edition.
