Experts say that landlords find it more profitable to rent apartments, especially in central areas of the city.
In particular, foreign tourists book this type of houses through the “Booking” platform. There is more demand for houses with high prices and good conditions.
Rahman Guliyev, a tourism expert, stated that in some regions of Azerbaijan there are houses whose daily rent exceeds a thousand manats. If the tourist is satisfied with the house they stayed in and its owner, they rate it with a high score on the online platform. As a result, tourists feel more comfortable choosing this type of houses.
The expert highlighted that lately the demand for 3, 4 and 5 star hotels has increased. The reason is the increase in the number of tourists visiting our country compared to previous years.
However, in January-September of this year, the average price of a one-night stay on “Booking”, an online reservation system for star-rated hotels, was lower than in Istanbul, Turkey and Georgia.
