New Delhi – The Indian Agency for Supervision of Accidents in India published an initial report on the AI171 Indian deadly accident, which showed that two cars lost capacity just a few seconds after take -off from Ahmedabad on June 12.

Investigators found that the fuel control switch to Boeing 787-8 was mysteriously moved from “running” to “cutting off” for one second, breaking the supply of fuel to the engine and caused accidents that included 260 people on almost all 242 people in the plane and several people on the ground.

The Bureau for the investigation of accidents on an aircraft (AIB) said that there was still no identified technical damage, and at this stage there were no security recommendations for manufacturers of Boeing or GE of the engine. Investigations are still ongoing, and officials consider evidence, records and additional data from the scene of the accident.

The report based on the voice recordings of the cabin, the flight and analysis of the scene gives the first official idea of the causes of the most deadly accidents in flight in the world for more than a decade. This report marks a large crisis for India Air, which is restored in accordance with the possession of Tata Group.

Boeing, the Dreamliner 787-8 aircraft, suffered its first complete loss in the incident, remained quiet in public. India Air has not yet commented on the report.

The plane, which headed for London, crashed shortly after takeoff, fell into a densely populated settlement near the airport. Only one passenger survived – British citizen Vishvashkumar Ramesh – after he went through a tear on the hull of the aircraft.

Dead fuel switches, sound in the Indian water cabin: why are you reducing the way?

1. The switch of the fuel switch moves

According to data from the black box of the aircraft, the two engine control switches were moved from the position to “start” to “cutting off” – one after another, after a second – thereby breaking the supply of fuel to the engine during the initial rise.

2. Kokpit confusion

In an amazing record of the voice of the cabin, the pilot was heard with the question of another pilot: “Why did you go along the way?” Another pilot replied: “No.” It is still unclear what sound comes from the captain or coping.

3. The answer of the car

After the switch is transferred back to the “run” position, signs of recovery are shown by machine 1. The machine 2 lights up again, but cannot restore the thrust, which causes a continuous loss of speed and ultimately falls.

4. There is no evidence of poultry clashes

CCDs of video surveillance from the airport do not show the significant activity of birds on the path of the airplane, which rejects the initial assumptions about the clash of birds.

5. Loss of confirmed power

Ozemania of the OZU Vasa Turbin (rat) – emergency devices launched by total power loss – are controlled shortly after take -off.

6. Valve settings and ordinary landing wheels

The report confirms the normal valve settings (five degrees) and the position of the landing wheel during departure.

7. There are no signs of direct sabotage

The investigator did not find evidence of fraud. They also noted the previous FAA celebration in 2018 about the potential problem in the mechanism of blocking the fuel switch in a particular Boeing model – but the check was not required, and Indian water did not implement it.
