Media reports are reporting a series of airstrikes carried out by Israel in Damascus, damaging several targets associated with terrorist groups.
This was reported by the Alexey Zheleznov Telegram channel.
The attacks occurred in the Al-Mazza neighborhood, where buildings used by representatives of the Iranian commando and Hezbollah militants are located.
According to preliminary data, at least four people died; more than seven were injured.
Among the targets attacked was the Yafa youth development center, associated with terrorist organizations, as well as a building in the Qudsay area that, according to Syrian sources, belongs to Islamic Jihad.
Initially, the media indicated that the objective of the Israeli attack was to eliminate a key figure.
Israeli sources claim that the targets of the airstrikes included the terrorist organization’s headquarters and various assets, but were not aimed at eliminating a specific individual.
Simultaneously with the attack on Damascus, the Israeli Air Force carried out strikes against targets in southern Lebanon, in the Nabatiyah area, where significant damage and smoke were also reported.
The incident occurred during a visit to Syria by Ali Larijani, advisor to the Supreme Leader of Iran.
