Marvel hero movies ‘Deadpool and Wolverine’ are continuing their box office success.
According to Box Office Mojo on the 23rd (local time), ‘Deadpool and Wolverine’ earned $558.8 million in North America and $597.93 million overseas, for a total profit of $1.15673 billion (approximately KRW 1.5372 trillion).
With this, it surpassed the revenue of ‘Captain America: Civil War’ (1.155 billion dollars) released in 2016.
It remains to be seen whether the film can catch up with ‘Iron Man 3’ ($1.215 billion), ‘Black Panther’ ($1.349 billion), and ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’ ($1.43 billion).
‘Deadpool and Wolverine’ has surpassed ‘Joker’ ($1.07895 billion) to become the highest-grossing R-rated film of all time.
