This afternoon, the Hamas terrorist group issued a statement stating that one of the kidnapped hostages had been murdered. An IDF spokesperson said the military is currently verifying the accuracy of this information and cannot confirm or deny it.
According to the representative, the military continues to maintain contact with the hostage’s family, providing them with all available information. The IDF condemned Hamas’ actions, accusing the group of using psychological terror and inhumanity.
The army also called on the public to refrain from spreading rumors and publications that could cause harm to the families of those kidnapped.
The IDF stressed that such statements by Hamas are part of an information war aimed at increasing the suffering of Israeli families.
Previously, Kursor reported that Hamas announced the death of a hostage in the Gaza Strip.
The Hamas terrorist group once again reported the death of one of the hostages, allegedly as a result of Israeli airstrikes in the Gaza Strip. However, as before, the statement is not supported by evidence or the names of the victims.
Israeli analysts see the message as part of the ongoing psychological warfare.
