President Ilham Aliyev Signed an Order on the regulation of some issues related to the activities of the Türkiye-Azerbaijan University.

The decree was signed in order to improve the higher education system in the Republic of Azerbaijan and expand relations with the prestigious higher education institutions of the Republic of Turkey, as well as to create an opportunity for citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan to receive quality education within the framework of higher education standards of the leading states of the Republic of Azerbaijan without having to travel abroad.
According to the document, higher education institutions of the Republic of Azerbaijan participating in the activities of the Turkey-Azerbaijan University have the right to independently carry out the selection of students based on the results of entrance examinations conducted by the State Examination Center of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
It is determined that higher education institutions of the Republic of Azerbaijan participating in the activities of the Turkey-Azerbaijan University have the right to jointly manage educational programs of the relevant higher education institutions of the Republic of Turkey with those higher education institutions. They may also enroll students by paying a fee exceeding the number of students who have been educated at the expense of the state.
The Cabinet of Ministers shall determine the number of students studying at the Turkey-Azerbaijan University at state expense for each academic year and shall resolve issues of organizing the material and technical base of higher education institutions involved in the university’s activities and financing operating expenses.
