This was stated by Ali Sharif, director of the Climate Change Department of the Maldives Ministry of Environment and Energy, in his statement to AZERTAC.
The director of the department said that the main objective of participating in COP29 is climate financing and said he believes that positive decisions will be made.
“There are other elements that we hope to be finalized at COP29 in many areas related to mitigation and adaptation, but the most important is financing,” he added.
