The Lefortovo District Court of Moscow arrested the deputy director of the Deposit Insurance Agency (DIA), Alexander Popelyukh. This was reported on the court’s website without indicating the article under which he was detained.
Popelyukh, responsible for supporting criminal proceedings, is suspected of fraudulent activities and abuse of power, a police source told RBC.
Earlier this week, FSB agents conducted investigations at the DIA headquarters and interviewed two top managers of the state corporation, including Popelyukh.
