“The hypocritical policy of the West against Azerbaijan continues. If this hypocritical policy was calculated to reconcile Azerbaijan with the Armenian occupation during the 30 years when our lands were under occupation, today it is expressed in the inability to digest the reconstruction and restoration works carried out on our lands.”
This was stated by Milli Majlis deputy Azer Badamov in his statement to Okhu.Az.
According to him, during the years when our lands were under occupation, neither the United States nor France even wanted to talk about the restoration of the territorial integrity of our country: “They tried to reconcile Azerbaijan with the occupation and conclude a humiliating peace. The head of State stated that if the conflict is not resolved through negotiations, we will liberate it through war. However, the 4 resolutions of the UN Security Council must be implemented. This was the work of the Minsk group. culture. The inheritance in the occupied territories was happening before the eyes of the West, but those who invited us to a humiliating peace did not say a word to the Armenians. We rebuild and restore the territories we liberated from occupation and return the former internally displaced persons to. their homes, homelands. But those who wanted to reconcile us with the occupation during the time when our lands were under occupation, today cannot digest the construction works that we are carrying out in our own sovereign territories. They cannot even digest the restoration of our sovereignty and think about how Azerbaijan restored its sovereignty with its own forces. Therefore, they are quickly arming Armenia and working on US plans to impose sanctions on Azerbaijan.
Even the US Secretary of State, who talks about the peace treaty, is preparing letters about sanctions. This is the ultimate in hypocrisy and hypocrisy. That is to say, those who talk about international law and the territorial integrity of countries forget these issues when they arrive in Azerbaijan and try to justify criminal Armenia by putting pressure on our country. The United States imposes and cancels sanctions whenever it wants. For example, while they imposed sanctions on Azerbaijan in 1992, when the United States entered Afghanistan, they suspended the sanctions due to the need for cooperation with Azerbaijan. Now, because our territories have been restored, they are trying to impose sanctions on us. They even supply Ukraine with weapons and provide all kinds of assistance to restore its territorial integrity. But they accuse Azerbaijan of guaranteeing their territorial integrity. Of course, the basis of this hypocrisy and hypocrisy is Azerbaijaniphobic and Islamophobic politics. “Before making a decision about Azerbaijan, they should first look at its ugly and tainted history,” the deputy stressed.
Our interviewer added that Azerbaijan will not bow down to any group: “Our country is capable of preserving the sovereignty of its territory as it has restored it. Those who are happy and accept our successes are our friends. Those who are disappointed in our successes and prepare Armenia for revenge again, they are our friends, they cannot be friends. Azerbaijan will not bow to anyone. The unity of power will further strengthen our country from the outside, they will only suffer,” the deputy concluded.
