Deputy PM: There are problems in the “selection” of candidates in Western Georgia

“Foreign forces have been making mistakes in the selection of their candidates in Georgia for years.”

Oku.AzGeorgian Deputy Prime Minister Teya Tsulukiani said this, according to Georgian media reports.

The deputy prime minister noted that President Salome Zurabishvili, who has now been chosen by the West to implement its ideas, does not have the clout to shape opinions in the country and among the Georgian people, to put it mildly.

“Zurabishvili is simply carrying out tasks for a foreigner or for the opposition United National Movement,” the deputy prime minister said.

According to Tsulukiani, foreign forces have had problems electing their candidates in Georgia for years.

“These foreign forces want to influence political processes in Georgia, but they can pay attention to intelligent people, those with basic values, those who win the sympathy of the Georgian people. Zurabishvili is in politics, but he is not a trained politician. He is supported from abroad, but he has no weight in Georgia,” added Teya Tsulukiani.
