The Russian food market is fully supplied with products. This was announced today, November 29, by Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Patrushev. He added that domestic farmers, despite this year’s difficult weather conditions, obtained a decent harvest.
“Today at a government meeting we discussed the situation of the food market. And first of all, I want to say that you have enough food.” — The TASS agency quotes Patrushev.
“The stable situation in the livestock and fishing complex, the food and processing industries function dynamically,” – he assured.
According to the Russian Deputy Prime Minister, a systematic increase in production is currently underway to meet the growing demand for Russian products. At the same time, control over exports of agricultural products is being strengthened to give priority to the domestic market.
As Russia Today recalls, Russian President Vladimir Putin previously extended the embargo on agricultural products from Western countries for two years, until December 31, 2026.
