Detachments of “bars” are created in three regions bordering Ukraine – Evkurov

Detachments of the “Bars” are being created in the Belgorod, Bryansk and Kursk regions as part of the Russian Armed Forces, this was announced today by the Deputy Minister of Defence of the Russian Federation, Colonel General Yunus-Bek Yevkurov.

Evkurov checked the progress of the formation of the Bars-Kursk volunteer detachment during a trip to the troops of the Moscow Military District.

“We are creating “Bars” detachments in the three border regions (Belgorod, Bryansk and Kursk), we call them “Bars-Kursk”, “Bars-Belgorod” and “Bars-Bryansk”. The main task of these detachments is to assist the operational headquarters of the governor and through the CTO in solving problems that arise today, including with weapons in hand and without weapons. These are issues related to the evacuation of the population and assistance in extinguishing fires. If with weapons, then it is about the protection of important communications and life support facilities. The training itself, which I have just seen, in principle, requires improvement, taking into account that a lot of time is spent on training, and there must be other things, including specific ones. For this, we need to complete some educational facilities.” – said Yevkurov.

The units being formed as part of the Russian Armed Forces will also, together with law enforcement agencies, in the context of an anti-terrorist operation, carry out tasks to protect and defend civilian infrastructure, combat drones and maintain public order. Currently, according to Yevkurov, intensive training and training of the personnel of the volunteer detachments is underway.

Today, Mr. Yevkurov met with the acting governor of the Kursk region. Alexei SmirnovThe issues of providing and training volunteers for the detachment were discussed, and an agreement was signed between the Ministry of Defence and the regional administration on cooperation in the procedure for recruiting this detachment, its support and utilization.

“We are glad that there is an active liberation movement. All regional assistance is provided and will be provided. Tasks on creating barrack detachments are being resolved. There are many people who want to protect their homes, help the Russian Guard and the police,” said Alexei Smirnov.

Before that, Yevkurov visited Bryansk, where he also checked the progress of training of volunteers of the Bars-Bryansk unit, the Ministry of Defense reported.
