Did the operation in Gaza end with the assassination of Sinwar, one of the leaders of Hamas?

“The destruction of Yahya Sinwar, one of the leaders of the Palestinian Hamas movement, by the Israeli army means the beginning of the last day of this organization, which will no longer govern the Gaza Strip.”

Oku.Az TASS reports that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke these words during a speech broadcast on Israel’s main television channels.

The head of the Israeli Cabinet of Ministers stressed that the military operation in the Gaza Strip will not end with the dismissal of the head of Hamas and will continue with full force until the hostages held by the radicals are released.

Furthermore, Netanyahu said that Israel will not kill radicals who release the hostages and surrender, and will allow them to escape.
