Director Laurent Tirard, revealed with the comedy Lies and betrayals and even more so if there are affinities…He died on Thursday, September 5 in Paris, at the age of 57, his agent announced to Agence France-Presse. “He left us (…) after having led, with immense courage, a long fight against the disease”said his agent.
Born in Roubaix (North), Laurent Tirard grew up in Fontainebleau (Seine-et-Marne). He studied film in the United States at New York University. He went to Hollywood, where he was a script reader at Warner and then a journalist at Study journalbefore becoming a television and then film scriptwriter.
In 2004, his first film, Lies and betrayals and even more so if there are affinities…reunites Edouard Baer and Clovis Cornillac, winner of the César for best supporting role.
