Cars with unusual configuration can still be found on the roads. Under the windshield of cars, you can see upside-down compact discs (CDs). Some drivers explain this with the anti-radar function of CDs.

He confirmed that some car enthusiasts believe in the myth that ordinary compact discs can make their cars invisible to the portable radars of DYP inspectors.
“Supposedly, with such a private radar detector you can easily exceed the speed limit and not be afraid of getting a fine on the road. However, this is nothing more than an urban legend. It is impossible to fool road radars with CDs,” he explained.
However, the expert pointed out that discs placed on the car’s windshield have another benefit. Although CDs do not offer protection against radar, he says, they are useful because they reflect the sun’s rays: long-distance drivers take advantage of the properties of CDs.
“Truckers who drive for long periods of time suffer from the blinding sun. To protect their eyes, they place CDs under the windshield like a sunscreen journal. Although it may not look good, it does its job,” says the expert.
