Do students carry their own burdens or those of Azerbaijani education? – Your bag will be HEAVY…

You probably often encounter students whose bags weigh more than them on the street, on public transportation, and in other places. These children think that this burden is eternal, they try to understand that it is an important mission, we instill it in them and we do it. But what is the reality? Instead of making it easy for them, why do we share the burden with the students? Is it too difficult to build a healthy future with scoliosis, one that is not painful or sick?

Why don’t we move to electronic textbooks? What is missing for this?

Education expert Goshgar Maharamov about the essence of the problem and the solutions Oku.Azspoke with

G. Maharramov noted that there are countries that implement the mentioned project:

“There are countries in the world that are switching to electronic textbooks. This requires a good control system. A competent specialist must install a system on tablets that has certain filters. Access to games and sites must be restricted unnecessary web. Because negative situations can arise. For example, in Turkey we can mention the “FATIH” project. Tablets were distributed to most of the students and some of them downloaded the games. They still use them. This idea has been implemented in some private schools in Azerbaijan and electronic teaching materials have been distributed.

The expert added that it is not possible to implement this project in all schools in Azerbaijan:

“Because in private schools it is easy to implement the mentioned practice for a small audience. But in public schools, each school needs at least one IT specialist to control the tablets. That is, we are talking about a large number of staff. I think that it would be a more appropriate step to reduce the number of lessons than downloading books to tablets. In my opinion, if students have their own bookshelf, it will be more effective for students to use their personal computers and tablets to prepare their lessons. “It is a very serious problem in schools. Students carry very heavy bags, so it is time to take alternative measures.”
