Plastic containers are thrown into the yellow container. It’s something we’re all aware of, but it’s not the only thing that goes into that container. Metal and aerosol containers and cans are also yellowed.
However, other metal utensils, such as pans, cooking utensils and household appliances, should not be thrown into the containers we see on the street, but rather should be taken away to a clean point. The same thing happens with clothes or a mop stick, although we may be confused by the fact that they are covered in plastic.
Some items that aren’t strictly plastic go in the yellow container.such as wooden and cork trays, as well as cardboard containers.
