The President-elect of the United States, Donald Trumpannounced this Tuesday the appointment of the billionaire Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy as senior officials of the Department of Government Effectiveness (DOGE).

In a statement, Trump said the Department of Government Efficiency “will provide advice and guidance from outside government and partner with the White House and the Office of Management and Budget to push for large-scale structural reforms and create a never-before-seen entrepreneurial approach to government.

As he explained, The work of this office must be completed no later than July 4, 2026.coinciding with the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States.

“Together, these two wonderful Americans will lead the way for my administration dismantle government bureaucracyreduce excessive regulations, cut wasteful spending, and restructure federal agencies,” the former president added.

The appointment of Musk at the head of this office had been planned since the electoral campaign, even if the announcement of the nomination of the businessman Vivek Ramaswamy, former candidate for the Republican nomination during these elections, to share the management of this office surprised.

Other appointments
