The death toll from pager explosions in Lebanon has risen to 1,500 people, with another 30 killed (according to other sources, up to 100 dead). Hospitals are in chaos, with many hands amputated and faces bloodied. As EADaily reported, the Iranian ambassador to Lebanon was injured after a pager explosion.
MOSSAD is believed to have replaced a batch of pagers destined for Hezbollah by inserting explosives with a triggering system into them.
Israel has yet to make any official comment on the incident.
Employees of one of the hospitals where US specialists worked said that about 10 days ago all Americans threw away their pagers. Mehr Agency writes that a similar attack took place in Syria.
