The leak, released by KAN, analyzes a possible agreement scenario, according to which, within 60 days, the Lebanese army should take control of the southern regions of Lebanon, displacing Hezbollah forces and disarming them along the way. along the border.
Under the proposal, the IDF would leave Lebanese territory seven days after the ceasefire. Lebanese forces are expected to take over the positions, with support from UN peacekeepers, ensuring a smooth transition. In the future, it is planned to station 10,000 Lebanese Army troops on the Israel-Lebanon border.
Meanwhile, Cursor reported that Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati expressed cautious optimism and said a truce was possible “in the coming hours or days.” He said that in a conversation with American mediator Amos Hochstein he received confirmation of the progress in the negotiations that Hochstein is maintaining with both sides of the conflict.
