Kat Kerkhofs, the wife of Dries Mertens, the Belgian football star of the club “Galatasaray”, convinced her not to leave Turkey.
Oku.Az Ket Kerkhofs reportedly told Turkish media that he loves Istanbul very much and influenced Mertens to stay at Galatasaray.
“Mertens’ contract with Galatasaray ended last season. I was very angry when he told me we were going to Belgium. I convinced him to stay in Istanbul and I intend to live here for many years,” said Ket Kerkhofs.
