Palma local police arrested a 43-year-old driver who had an alcohol level almost five times higher for causing a road accident in the Son Rapinya district.
As this police force reports in a press release, the events occurred early last Monday in Son Pereto Streetwhere the woman crashed her vehicle into another that was properly parked.
The woman, of Paraguayan nationalityshowed obvious symptoms of alcohol consumption, the officers therefore carried out a etilometry which gave a positive result of 1.18 milligrams per liter of air breathed (mg/l), almost five times more than what is allowed.
After that, the woman refused to identify herself or provide her address when asked by officers. She was arrested as the alleged perpetrator of crime against road safety.
This conduct can result in penalties of up to six months in prison, a twelve-month fine or 90 days of community service. He also risks having his driving license revoked for up to four years.
