In Sabunchu district, on the Zabrat-Kurdakhani highway, iron fences have been installed due to repair work. Drivers who cannot comfortably travel there are forced to go in the opposite direction, violating the double-file requirement.
Drivers claim they were fined for going the wrong way during the repair.
The reason why the road is in this state is the renewal of sewer lines in the area.
The Baku City State Traffic Police Department (BSHDYPI) informed “Khazar Khabar” about the fines imposed on drivers that no one was fined in connection with the repair of that road. Drivers who will be fined are those who violate the sign requirement before reaching the repair location.
The United Service for Water Supply of Large Cities reported that the replacement and renewal of sewage lines is being carried out in the area according to the project:
“According to the rules, the work must be completed to a certain distance so that a request for the restoration of the asphalt layer can be addressed. The restoration of the asphalt layer of that part will be carried out after the completion of the repair and construction work completed at the appropriate distance.”
