Jahid Vakilov, 33, was arrested during an operation against the illegal circulation of narcotics and psychotropic substances by the Jalilabad District Police Department.
This was reported by the Lankaran regional group of the Press Service of the Ministry of Interior (MIA). Oku.Az-was informed.
It was reported that he was found in total with 16 kilograms of heroin, marijuana, methamphetamine and 100 methadone pills.
Through investigations it was established that J. Vakilov obtained the drugs from an Iranian citizen, whose identity was being investigated, and agreed to deliver them to the specified address in the city of Baku in exchange for financial gain.
A criminal case has been opened, an arrest warrant has been issued against the person and an investigation is underway.
A drug courier was arrested in Jalilabad.
