BTS member Suga (real name Min Yoongi), who was booked on charges of driving an electric scooter while intoxicated, appeared at the police station.
On the evening of the 23rd, Suga appeared at the Yongsan Police Station in Seoul to be investigated on suspicion of drunk driving. Suga is suspected of drinking alcohol and riding an electric scooter near his home in Hannam-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul at around 11:15 PM on the 6th. When the police found Suga after falling over while riding an electric scooter, his blood alcohol level was 0.227%, indicating that he was “intoxicated.”
After the incident became known, Suga apologized, saying that he violated the Road Traffic Act by not realizing that he was not allowed to use an electric kickboard while intoxicated. However, contrary to Suga’s explanation that he rode an electric kickboard, the fact that he drove an electric scooter became known, and controversy arose over whether Suga and Hybe tried to downplay the incident.
