Ducati bosses agree in their diagnosis of the clash between Martin and Bastianini: “Jorge was too long”

Enea Bastianini went to Jorge Martin in a controversial action in the Grand Prix of Emilia-Romagna. Everyone in MotoGP speaks out… and also the two big bosses of the Ducati brand: Claudio Domenicali, CEO; and Davide Tardozzi, team leader.

Domenicali emphasizes that Martín was slow: “Races are like that. The last lap is always special. It was a bit of a push to the limit, but Jorge, perhaps, was also going a bit too far.”

“We refer to what the race direction said and I think they judged that there was no reason for the sanction. We do not agree with that. Enea had a great race today, so we are very happy,” continued the Ducati CEO.

Tardozzi agrees with this speech: “Martín and Bastianini quickly clarified it. This is also a bit part of motor racing. Moreover, Martin also arrived a little late. That’s it.”

“They both wanted to win.“They are two great drivers and two great champions, who have had extraordinary careers,” concludes the Bologna team manager.
