The Solar Astronomy Laboratory of the Space Research Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the Institute of Solar-Terrestrial Physics warn of an impending cosmic threat.
Oku.AzAccording to , scientists claim that on September 12, 2024, the Earth will collide with a cloud of plasma ejected from the Sun with almost 100% probability.
This is the third plasma ejection in recent days, and this time it has a 99.9% chance of hitting Earth. The impact is expected to trigger a magnetic storm that will peak on Friday between 04:00 and 05:00 Baku time.
Scientists predict that disturbances in the Earth’s magnetosphere will reach a strength of G2, which corresponds to an average magnetic storm. The probability of such events occurring is estimated at 70%.
Magnetic storms can affect people’s health, especially those who are sensitive to the weather. It is recommended to follow space weather forecasts and, if necessary, limit physical exertion and follow a daily routine.
In addition, magnetic storms can cause malfunctions in electronic equipment and communication systems.
