The winning candidate in Venezuela’s elections, Edmundo González, warned this Friday that His departure from his country “is only temporary”. He said this this Friday during a presentation within the framework of the La Toja-Vínculo Atlántico Forum, which is being held these days in O Grove (Pontevedra), and where his presence and his intervention were greeted with applause .
González left Venezuela on September 7, and in recent weeks several countries have recognized him as the winner of the elections. He found himself in Spain and took advantage this Friday of his serene presentation as part of this forum organized in Galicia for “to thank Spain” for the possibility that his voice “can be expressed without ties”. This could not be done in Venezuela, where the regime of Nicolas Maduro subjects its compatriots “to terrible experiences”.
The opposition leader gave a brutal assessment of the Maduro regime, where “blackmail and intimidation” have led Venezuelans to maintain an attitude “which is only apparently indifferent to what is happening”.
