The Russian Cabinet of Ministers will consider a draft law on paid education for foreign citizens in the country.
Oku.Az RIA Novosti reports that the author of the initiative is the Russian Liberal Democratic Party (RLDP).
The party members recalled that according to the current law, children of foreigners have the right to free education in preschool, primary, general basic and general secondary education institutions.
Yaroslav Nilov, one of the authors of the bill and head of the State Duma Committee on Social Policy, said that if foreign parents wish, they can place their children in paid educational institutions.
