The president of the EFE Agency, Miguel Ángel Oliver, apologized for a headline published in error about a helicopter accident in Madrid. The state news agency broadcast a message on X reporting a helicopter crash into the Crystal Tower, which was not true, and deleted it after three minutes.

“We apologize for this error to all citizens, and in particular to all our customers,” they added in a press release made public. The EFE agency “has taken the necessary technical measures to prevent a similar error from happening again.”
