Israeli public broadcasters reported: “Cairo presented a new proposal on the ceasefire and the exchange of prisoners, which aims to cover the gap between Israel and Hamas.”
It was stated that “the new proposal has been sent by Egypt in the last 24 hours to reach the consensus between Israel and Hamas.”
Although the advertiser did not mention any provision or detail, however, it was said that the proposal was between the offers of the initial mediators, Egypt and Qatar, which included the liberation of five living prisoners and Israel’s proposal, which required the release of 11 living prisoners in Gaza.
Egypt did not comment on the report.
Israel estimates that 59 hostages are still held in Gaza, with 22 still alive people.

More than 50,600 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza in the Israeli military attack since October 2023, most of them are women and children.
The International Criminal Court (ICC) issued an order for the arrest last November for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and former defense minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.
