Eight companies will participate in the amateur theatre cycle of the Navarre Theatre School

THE Theater School of Navarre welcomes from this Saturday, August 31 and until September 12, the first edition of the Amateur Theatre Seriesduring which eight companies will present their productions.

It is a cycle driven by Amateur Theatre Federation of Navarrewith the financial support of Government of Navarre and the collaboration of the Theater School of Navarrewill take place between Saturday, August 31 and Thursday, September 12.

This cycle aims to become a reference in the promotion of the sector and hopes to consolidate itself in the next editions, giving the possibility of participating to a greater number of amateur groups.

This edition will participate groups in the front row and centered, Leuna Teatro, Behind the Fourth Wall, Speculum Vitae, Acto Zero, Puntido Teatro, Teatro Talo and Aula de Teatro Jus La Rotxa.

The performances will take place at 7pm and tickets can be purchased in advance at laescueladeteatro.com. They can also be purchased on the day of the performances, one hour before the start, at the box office. Bike passes have a general price of 6 euros, which is reduced to 4.80 euros for children under 14, Youth Card holders and the unemployed. In addition, bonuses are offered four performances for 19.20 euros.

The group in charge of opening the cycle on Saturday 31st is First row and centering, with ‘La vida perdurable’, a comedy that humorously explores Alfredo Sanzol’s early works. The tone changes on September 1st with ‘The Jump of the Tillandsias’, by Leuna Teatro. It is a work with social themes that addresses the migratory drama through the story of two sisters who face the harsh reality of today’s Europe, far from the idea of ​​refuge they imagined.

Will take over Wednesday September 4th the group Behind the Fourth Wall, with the play “Helena, the fox?”, a drama in which Helen of Troy claims her dignity and questions the role that history has assigned to her.

The cycle continues to explore human nature with “The Room,” from Speculum Vitae, the September 5th. It’s a thriller that invites the audience to look into their own darkness.

He September 7thActo Zero’s “Domestica” reflects on the role of women in society through the experiences of Rebeca, the protagonist of this story.

Comedy is back September 8 with “Seven Women” by Puntido Teatro, a play that features wedding guests in which they reveal their fears and obsessions in an intimate and humorous portrait of female life.

The program continues with ‘Gora Switzerland’, from Teatro Talo, on September 11. It is a comedy about identity and belonging that takes place in a small Castilian town in the heart of Euskadi. Finally, on September 12th, “Cerda” will be presented, by Teatro Jus La Rotxa. It is a satire of a convent in crisis that reveals the secrets and fragilities of its nuns.
