He noted that the opening ceremony of several industrial enterprises in the Agdam Industrial Estate was held during the visit:
“The new companies in the industrial park will be engaged in the production of electrical distribution equipment, sockets and concrete substations, roof and facade cladding, ventilation, fire-fighting equipment and various metal products, wallpaper, footwear of various types, automation and telemechanical systems.
With the opening of these six enterprises, the total number of enterprises that started operating in the country’s industrial zones reached 79. The creation of new enterprises will stimulate the production of non-oil products in our country, expand the country’s export geography, accelerate the diversification of the economy, make a significant contribution to job creation for the population and, most importantly, help restore the industrial potential of Karabakh.
New companies that have started their operations have invested more than 40 million manats in the Aghdam industrial park, more than 150 permanent jobs have been created at the initial stage, and the number of these jobs is planned to increase to 456 people at the next stage. I would like to note that in the recruitment process, preference was given primarily to people from Aghdam and the surrounding regions.
“For information, I would like to note an interesting point: despite its creation in recent years, the Agdam Industrial Park is the second largest industrial park in the country after the Sumgayit Chemical Industrial Park in terms of the number of residents. In the park, 27 business entities are granted residency with a total investment of 238 million manats, and 6 entrepreneurs are granted non-residential status. These 33 business entities are expected to create a total of 2,090 jobs in the industrial park. 72 million manats have been invested in the industrial park and up to 300 permanent jobs have been created.
The park covers an area of 190 hectares. Entrepreneurs are showing great interest in the Aghdam industrial park, so more than 60% of the park is already inhabited by entrepreneurs,” said Elchin Kazimov.
