Elchin Turabov, the face of Azerbaijan Independent Radio and head of CONNECT’s broadcasting department, has passed away.
His relatives reported this on social media.
Elchin Turabov was a person who witnessed the creation of the famous radio station known as “First FM”, well known to the generation of the 80s.
His voice helped lift people out of depression, encouraging listeners to look at their problems from a different angle with his funny on-air jokes. At the same time, Elchin always managed to raise quite serious issues at the time.
