The Ertzaintza arrested early this Friday in Vitoria an 84-year-old man accused of attempted homicide in gender violence after attacking his partner at home with a knife. The victim was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
As reported by the Basque Department of Security, the events took place this morning around 4 am, in a house in the Basque capital. As soon as they learned of the event, several Ertzaintza patrols went to a house in Vitoria, where they found a woman lying on the ground, with several stab wounds.
After being treated by medical staff, the woman was transferred to the Txagorritxu hospital with serious injuries. The Ertzaintza arrested an 84-year-old man, the victim’s partner, accused of an alleged crime of attempted homicide, in the area of gender violence. The aggressor was transferred to police stations to carry out the appropriate procedures, before being brought to justice.
