Older people are becoming more and more noticeable on the Internet. This is shown by three accounts on Tickcock and Instagram.
Social networks make you stupid, it’s just something for young people who publish dance videos or fall on the next fake – many elderly people think. But the time of age limit in Tikkok has ended, older people can also become viral and fall in false reports.
Such accounts as “Grandmother are cool” – on Tikkok with remarkable 330,000 subscribers. There, a group of older people tests new things: Takis (presumably the most sharp chips in the world), bubble tea, the center of shocks or chic restaurants. Viral potato rating? “Free on 1” – logical! Take with you too. Grandmother evaluates German food with funny comments, such as: “Hmm, Schlabberschlabber Schnzchen”.
“Grandmother Droniyak” with 75 million subscribers also shows how much wit can be in the 95-year-old. She wears shirts with prints, such as “I like to force boys to cry” or “not to flirt only hot and speak”, represents her cherry earrings or plans her outfit for the following funerals. She is led by her grandson’s account – because sometimes young people need to help understand technology or explain the tendency.
Rashid Hamid shows that such cooperation is more than just a click. The nurse became loving clips “Grandmother Lotti” before her death in 93, visited her every day – and wrote a book about this special friendship.

Such accounts can also be a small antidote from loneliness. Elderly people are more often isolated, widowed or limited in health. To be visible on social networks – with wrinkles, rollators and age -related spots – means participation. This shows: “too old” for Tikkok, Institute and Co., and, frankly, it’s just cute.
