The explosion of the battery of a scooter that was charging inside a house caused a fire last night in a building in the capital of Soria, according to municipal sources.
The fire broke out on the first floor of Duque de Ahumada Street in the capital. At that time, there were two people inside, who were able to get out without causing any injuries.
The explosion generated a large fire that spread throughout the house and a large amount of smoke that flooded the building’s stairwell and entered some homes as smoke spread through an interior patio.
The firefighters evacuated the entire building without causing any casualties and proceeded to extinguish the fire and ventilate the entire building.
A service team and service personnel immediately joined the extinguishing efforts, so in total one command and seven firefighters participated. The firefighters intervened very quickly since the damaged house was only 50 meters from the park.
