The explosion of the battery of an electric scooter was the cause of the fire that broke out last night in a house in Soria, requiring the intervention of the fire brigade.
The incident took place a few minutes before 10pm, on the first floor of Duque de Ahumada Street, in the capital Soria. Due to the large amount of smoke accumulated in the stairwell, which also spread to some nearby homes, the firefighters were forced to evacuate the building as a safety measure.
Fortunately, there were no casualties. Once the fire was extinguished, the firefighters ventilated the damaged house to eliminate the smoke and secure the premises.
