Its clients include both businesses and public administrations. thanks to what Torgo’s CEO describes as a “versatile” platform. A common basis on which different bodies can be incorporated depending on the customer’s needs to have a fully electric car.
A vehicle that It is made in Vigo and it is no coincidence, because the south of Galicia and the north of Portugal constitute a particularly active area regarding the automotive industry, with a wide presence of the supplier chain, although in Torgo they sometimes have to turn to other markets for certain components. A situation which, according to the company’s CEO, will improve as specialization in electric vehicles is established, a sector that he considers “strategic and essential”.
Vehicle applications

But despite the fact that more and more Spanish companies are committed to sustainable development, the majority of customers do not respond precisely to our market, but to other European countries, the United States or the Arab Emirates united, among others. “In Spain we are slower than in other geographic areas on the planet,” says the CEO of Torgo.
Although Spain has incentives for the acquisition of electric vehicles, according to the European strategy to ban the sale of gasoline or diesel cars From 2035 onwards, Blanco says support is focused on “smaller vehicles”, compared to others like the Torgo. Aid which, in addition to being “quite limited” according to Blanco, also focuses on the slowness and difficulty of accessing these incentives, while in other countries it is granted upon completion of the acquisition .
