US Democratic presidential candidate and current Vice President Kamala Harris said the elimination of Hamas Politburo chief Yahya Sinwar in the Gaza Strip could be key to “ending the conflict between Israel and the Palestinian Authority.”
On CNN’s evening broadcast, he noted that Sinwar’s death opens up new opportunities to resolve the situation, return the hostages and reduce the suffering of the Palestinian people.
Harris also emphasized that too many Palestinian Arab civilians have already died as a result of the fighting, and said that both sides – both Israelis and Palestinian Arabs – deserve the right to a safe life and equal opportunity.
He expressed confidence that the solution to the conflict should be based on the principle of the creation of two States.
Recall that Donald Trump, speaking on the PBD podcast, expressed the opinion that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu took a strong and advantageous position, ignoring the recommendations of the Biden administration.
Former US President Donald Trump said Israel acted on its own, despite recommendations from Joe Biden and Kamala Harris.
According to Trump, the situation in the region has changed and countries now fear Iran less. He attributed this to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s failure to follow the advice of Biden, who, according to Trump, would prefer a slower development of the conflict to avoid an escalation.
Trump noted that, in his opinion, the situation changed precisely because Netanyahu did not follow the American president’s instructions.
Previously, Kursor reported that Germany expressed the opinion that the elimination of Sinvar could help resolve the conflict and create conditions for the delivery of humanitarian aid to the region.
