Russian investigators questioned the wife of former lawyer Elman Pashayev, accused of fraud.

“The defendant’s wife was interrogated in the framework of the investigation of a large-scale fraud case against Elman Pashayev. In addition, during the search of the defendant’s apartment, money was found and seized from him,” law enforcement agencies said.
According to the information, the amount of money stolen from the former lawyer’s apartment does not exceed 100,000 rubles (1,574 AZN – ed.). Pashayev’s defenders do not comment on investigative actions in the fraud case against him, because they were ordered not to reveal information about the investigation.
It should be remembered that Elman Pashayev was detained in Moscow on September 17. Previously, he was accused of trying to defraud the Blinovsky couple, well-known in Russian high society. Pashayev convinced Alexey Blinovsky, the husband of the “marathon queen” Yelena Blinovskaya, that in exchange for a large sum he could exempt them from liability in the criminal case.
In addition, information has spread that Pashayev can receive state benefits illegally by submitting false documents about his injury.
