Billionaire Elon Musk denied on his social network: “I was there with my mother. There is no romantic relationship with Prime Minister Meloni,” he said on Wednesday.
On Monday, Musk presented Meloni with the Atlantic Council think tank’s Global Citizen Award at an event in New York and described the Italian politician as “someone who is even more beautiful on the inside than he is on the outside.” He also described the prime minister as “authentic, honest and thoughtful.” “You can’t always say that about politicians,” the tech mogul added. Meloni responded to the praise by declaring Musk a “precious genius.”
The two have already had meetings. Last year, Musk visited Meloni’s official residence to discuss topics of mutual interest such as artificial intelligence or the birth rate in the West. Last December, Musk also attended the party organized by the prime minister’s party, the Brothers of Italy.
Musk was the star guest at the event in Rome, which was also attended by Vox leader Santiago Abascal.
