Elon Musk will be tried for bribing voters – CNN revealed details of the case

The Philadelphia district attorney has filed a lawsuit against Elon Musk and his political group for a million-dollar scam. Musk performed at the Roxain Theater in Pittsburgh on October 20, where he awarded $1 million to one of the participants.

CNN reports this.

On Monday, prosecutor Larry Krasner asked the court to stop the drawing, saying it was an “illegal lottery.” He filed a civil lawsuit against Musk and his America PAC group, alleging that they are tricking the citizens of Philadelphia into revealing their personal information in exchange for the opportunity to make money.

A spokesperson for America PAC had no comment on the lawsuit, but noted that a new winner was recently announced: a registered voter from Hastings, Michigan. The judge set a hearing for Friday, meaning the shenanigans could continue for at least another week, although Krasner’s office could request an expedited hearing.

The lawsuit argues that Pennsylvania law requires that all lotteries be run by the state and that Musk’s daily cash donations must stop. Krasner maintains that the selection of winners was not random, as many of them attended Trump rallies in Pennsylvania.

The lawsuit is based on lottery and consumer protection laws. Krasner emphasized that his case does not involve laws prohibiting vote buying. The US Department of Justice also warned Musk’s group about possible violations of federal law.

Musk, who supports Donald Trump, is believed to have announced a $1 million donation to boost voter turnout in key states. The idea of a hoax has raised concerns among electoral law experts.

President Joe Biden, commenting on the situation, called Musk’s actions “inappropriate” but did not claim they were illegal. When asked about the prank, he joked that he wanted to take part too, but then added that such actions are unacceptable.

Recall that Cursor wrote that CIA Director William Burns presented a new plan to resolve the situation in the Gaza Strip in the Doha negotiations. The proposal calls for a 28-day truce between Israel and Hamas, during which a hostage exchange would be expected: eight Israeli citizens detained in Gaza, including men and women over 50, would be exchanged for several dozen Palestinians serving time in Israeli prisons for terrorist activity.
