British singer Elton John can no longer work on an album with his collaborator Bernie Taupin due to his blindness. He talked about this on Good Morning America.
Responding to a question about the timing of the previously promised album release, Sir John said: “I don’t know. It’s been a while since I’ve done anything and, well, I just need to move.”
The artist recalled that he suffered an eye infection, which he contracted in the south of France, and for four months he has not been able to see in his right eye, his left eye is not in the best condition.
“So there’s hope and support that everything will be okay, but… I’m kind of stuck right now because I can do something like this. [интервью]But I don’t know whether to go to the studio and record, because I can’t see the lyrics to begin with.” – he explained.
Now Elton John is trying to focus on restoring his vision.
“It’s never a stroke of luck when something like this happens and it leaves me stunned. And I can’t see anything, I can’t read anything, I can’t see anything.” – he concluded.
As reported EADailyIn early September, on his social media page, Elton John informed his fans that he was partially blind. He added that he is recovering, but that it is a “very slow process.” It will take some time before vision returns to the affected eye, he said.
